Vegan Honey Ingredients

  • 360 ml cloudy apple juice (apple cider in US)
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 75 g raw cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 chamomile tea bag


Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: Add all the ingredients including apple juice, both types of sugar, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and the chamomile tea bag to a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugars completely.
  2. Simmer the mixture: Reduce the heat to medium-high and allow the mixture to rapidly simmer for 15 minutes. Then lower the heat to medium and let it simmer regularly for another 15 minutes until the volume reduces to about 290 ml (1 ¼ cups), creating a thick honey-like consistency.
  3. Cool and store: Carefully pour the hot vegan honey into a sterilized jar. Allow it to cool to room temperature before sealing the jar tightly to preserve freshness.

  • Use cloudy apple juice or apple cider for the best flavor and consistency.
