Description

These Energy Bites are a wholesome and convenient no-bake snack packed with oats, nut butter, seeds, dried fruits, and chocolate chips. Perfect for a quick energy boost, they combine nutritious ingredients in a simple recipe that requires no cooking, just mixing and chilling.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1 tablespoon protein powder or hemp seeds
  • 1-2 teaspoons spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin spice)
  • 1 teaspoon superfood powders (matcha, maca, or spirulina)
  • 1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dried fruits (chopped apricots, cranberries, or raisins)
  • 1/4 cup nuts (chopped almonds, walnuts, or pecans)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or sunflower seed butter)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, stir together the rolled oats, chia seeds or flaxseeds, protein powder, spices, superfood powders, mini dark chocolate chips, dried fruits, and chopped nuts until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Add the nut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the dry mix. If the nut butter is too thick, warm it slightly to make stirring easier.
  3. Mix Until Combined: Use a spatula or your hands to evenly blend all ingredients. The mixture should be sticky enough to hold its shape but not overly wet.
  4. Form the Bites: Scoop out small portions with a spoon and roll them between your palms to form bite-sized balls about one inch in diameter, perfect for snacking.
  5. Chill and Set: Place the energy bites on a lined tray and chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize the ingredients based on your preference or what you have available, such as switching nut butters or dried fruits.
  • If the mixture feels too dry, add a bit more honey or nut butter; if too wet, add more oats or protein powder.
  • Store energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for longer storage.
  • These bites are great for a quick snack or pre/post-workout boost.
