Description

Chuy’s Jalapeno Dip is a creamy, zesty dip bursting with fresh jalapenos, garlic, and cilantro, perfectly balanced with tangy sour cream and ranch seasoning. Quick to prepare and ideal for parties, game days, or as a flavorful accompaniment to chips and appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) container sour cream
  • 1 (1-oz) package ranch dressing mix
  • 2 whole large fresh jalapenos, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • â…“ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 whole lime, juiced
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare Jalapenos, Cilantro, and Garlic: Combine the roughly chopped jalapenos, fresh cilantro, and minced garlic in a food processor. Pulse several times until the mixture is finely chopped but not pureed, allowing for texture in the dip.
  2. Add Dairy and Seasoning: Add the lime juice, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix to the food processor. Pulse again until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust Consistency: Slowly add milk, one tablespoon at a time, pulsing briefly after each addition until you reach your preferred dip consistency—thick but scoopable. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately or chill for later use.

Notes

  • For extra heat, keep some jalapeno seeds when chopping.
  • If you prefer a thicker dip, reduce the amount of milk added.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld.
  • Use a sharp knife for easier jalapeno prep and wear gloves if sensitive to chili oils.
  • Can be served with tortilla chips, fresh vegetables, or as a topping for grilled meats.
