Dip Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) container sour cream
- 1 (1-oz) package ranch dressing mix
- 2 whole large fresh jalapenos, roughly chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- â…“ cup fresh cilantro
- 1 whole lime, juiced
- 2 to 4 Tbsp milk
Instructions
- Prepare Jalapenos, Cilantro, and Garlic: Combine the roughly chopped jalapenos, fresh cilantro, and minced garlic in a food processor. Pulse several times until the mixture is finely chopped but not pureed, allowing for texture in the dip.
- Add Dairy and Seasoning: Add the lime juice, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix to the food processor. Pulse again until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Adjust Consistency: Slowly add milk, one tablespoon at a time, pulsing briefly after each addition until you reach your preferred dip consistency—thick but scoopable. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately or chill for later use.
Notes
- For extra heat, keep some jalapeno seeds when chopping.
- If you prefer a thicker dip, reduce the amount of milk added.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld.
- Use a sharp knife for easier jalapeno prep and wear gloves if sensitive to chili oils.
- Can be served with tortilla chips, fresh vegetables, or as a topping for grilled meats.
