Description

These Cajun Blackened Chicken Alfredo Pizza Rolls combine spicy, tender chicken with creamy Alfredo sauce and melted mozzarella cheese, all wrapped in a soft pizza dough and baked to golden perfection. A flavorful twist on classic pizza rolls that’s perfect for a crowd or a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Dough and Cooking

  • 1 batch pizza dough (enough to roll out to approximately 12×8 inches)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking chicken and sealing rolls)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing tops)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (optional, for butter brushing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Season the cooked chicken breast generously with Cajun seasoning. Pan-sear the chicken in olive oil over medium heat to lock in flavor and develop a slight char, then let it cool slightly.
  2. Mix Filling Ingredients: Chop or shred the blackened chicken finely. In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken with Alfredo sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese until the mixture is well coated and cheesy.
  3. Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick to ensure even baking and make rolling easier.
  4. Assemble the Pizza Rolls: Spread the Cajun chicken Alfredo mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Roll the dough tightly into a log, pinch edges to seal properly, and slice the log into 1-2 inch rolls.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet with the cut side up. Brush the tops lightly with melted butter mixed with minced garlic for extra flavor. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 18-22 minutes until the rolls are golden and crispy on top.

Notes

  • Use freshly cooked chicken breast or leftovers to save time.
  • If you prefer less spice, reduce the amount of Cajun seasoning.
  • The garlic butter brushing is optional but adds a nice savory touch and shine to the rolls.
  • Allow the chicken to cool before mixing with Alfredo sauce to avoid thinning out the sauce.
  • Serve these pizza rolls warm for the best taste and texture.
